Apple launched three new iPhone models the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR at the annual iPhone launch event. The iPhone XS and XS Max are upgrades to the iPhoneX launched last year. While the iPhone XS has the same 5.8-inch screen as before, the iPhone XS Max is Apple’s largest iPhone ever at 6.5 inches. Also announced was a new Apple Watch Series 4. The XS is faster and better than its predecessor in all the normal ways. The XS Max is too, except it’s now got a 6.5 inch screen. And the XR, with an LCD screen (with slightly less impressive colour reproduction) is still the same on the inside, just without a telephoto lens on the back.
iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will have dual-SIM, dual standby technology, marking the first time buyers will be able to use two phone numbers on the same iPhone. The iPhone XS price in India starts at Rs. 99,900, while the iPhone XS Max price in India begins at Rs. 1, 09,900. iPhone XR, the cheapest model of the lot, has a starting price of Rs. 76,900. The higher prices partly reflect the inclusion of more sophisticated materials and components in these premium phones, from advanced processors to sensors that enable face recognition.
